Connections is a popular daily word game from the New York Times. Created with the help of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, this game has quickly become a hit. Available on web browsers and mobile devices, Connections challenges players to group 16 words into four categories based on common themes.
In each puzzle, the words must be sorted into four distinct categories. These categories could be anything from book titles and software to country names. There’s only one correct way to group the words, and incorrect guesses count as mistakes—players have up to four mistakes before the game ends.
To make it easier, players can rearrange and shuffle the board, and each group is color-coded: yellow for the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. You can also share your results with friends on social media.
