Connections NYT is the latest sensation from The New York Times, captivating players with its challenge of finding common threads between words. Similar to Wordle, the game resets daily, presenting increasingly intricate puzzles that test your ability to connect the dots.
Introduced by associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, Connections has swiftly become a social media phenomenon. Available on both web browsers and mobile platforms, the game tasks players with grouping four words that share a common characteristic.
Each puzzle features 16 words divided into four distinct categories. These can range from book titles to country names, challenging players to identify the singular correct grouping amidst seemingly plausible alternatives. Correctly identified groups are cleared from the board, while incorrect guesses count as mistakes—players have up to four chances before the game concludes.
Players can rearrange the board to aid in identifying connections, and each category is color-coded for difficulty, starting with yellow as the easiest and progressing through green, blue, and purple. Just like Wordle, you can share your progress on social media, adding to the communal excitement.
