The latest sensation from The New York Times, Connections NYT, has captivated puzzle enthusiasts with its unique twist on word games. Similar to Wordle, Connections challenges players to identify the "common threads between words." Launched in the Times' Games section, the game resets daily, presenting increasingly challenging word sets as the day progresses.
Designed by associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, Connections is accessible via web browsers and mobile devices. Players must group four words that share a common theme or characteristic from a pool of 16 words. Each set is categorized by themes such as book titles, software, or country names. While several words may seem fitting, only one combination is correct per set. Correct groupings remove words from play, while incorrect guesses accumulate as mistakes (with a limit of four per game).
