Connections, a recent addition to the New York Times Games section, was developed with the help of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu. This engaging game can be played on web browsers and mobile devices, and it challenges players to group four words that share a common attribute.
Each puzzle consists of 16 words, divided into four distinct categories. These categories might include anything from book titles to software names or country names. Although many words may seem to fit together, only one set of four words is correct. Successfully grouping all four words in a set removes them from the board. Players are allowed up to four mistakes before the game ends.
Players can rearrange and shuffle the board to aid in spotting connections. The game features color-coded groups, with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. As with Wordle, you can share your results on social media.
