Connections NYT is the latest word game from the New York Times that's quickly become a favorite among puzzle enthusiasts. The game challenges players to identify the common threads between groups of words. Each day brings a new set of words, and just like in Wordle, the puzzles become progressively challenging. If you need help with today’s puzzle, read on for hints, tips, and the final solution.
The NYT’s newest word game has captivated players across social media. Designed by associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices. The objective is to group four words that share a common theme from a grid of 16 words.
Each puzzle is divided into four categories, and players must correctly identify which words fit into each category. Mistakes count against you—players have up to four mistakes before the game ends. Correctly identified groups are removed from the board. Players can shuffle and rearrange the words to help spot connections more easily. Categories are color-coded: yellow is the simplest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, results can be shared on social media.
