The NYT’s latest daily word game has become a social media sensation. Created with the help of associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, Connections is featured in the NYT Games section. It can be played on web browsers and mobile devices. The objective is to group four words that share a common link.
Each puzzle consists of 16 words, which need to be divided into four categories. These categories could range from book titles to country names. While multiple words may seem to fit together, only one grouping is correct. Players are allowed up to four mistakes before the game ends.
The board can be rearranged and shuffled to simplify finding connections. Categories are color-coded, starting with yellow (easiest), followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share your results on social media.
