The New York Times' daily word game, Connections, has quickly become a favorite among puzzle enthusiasts. Created with input from associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, this game is accessible via web browsers and mobile devices. The objective is to categorize 16 given words into four groups of four that share a common characteristic.
Each puzzle features a grid of 16 words, which players need to sort into four categories. These categories could be anything from book titles to software to country names. Though multiple words may seem to fit, only one specific grouping is correct. Players are allowed up to four mistakes before the game concludes.
To help with solving, players can shuffle the board to find connections more easily. The groups are color-coded to indicate difficulty, with yellow being the simplest and purple being the most challenging. Similar to Wordle, players can share their results on social media.
