The New York Times' newest word game, Connections, has taken social media by storm. Designed by associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu, the game is available on both web browsers and mobile devices. The goal is to group 16 words into four categories of four words each. Each grouping shares a common theme, whether it’s book titles, software, or country names. Only one set of words fits the given categories correctly.
Players have up to four mistakes before the game ends, and can rearrange the board to spot connections more easily. The categories are color-coded to indicate difficulty, from yellow (easiest) to purple (hardest). Like Wordle, you can share your results with friends on social media.
